The Guilds of York will produce wagon plays on the streets of York on 19 and 26 June 2022.  All the performers and production teams will be volunteers and funds are raised from grants and donations: see the green button on www.yorkmysteryplays.co.uk.  It is expected that the York Waits and the Town Bands from Leeds, Doncaster and beyond will again lead the wagons through the streets and entertain audiences at the various playing stations.  Locations: College Green 11am, St Sampson's Square 11.45am, St Helen's Square 12.15pm, the King's Manor 1pm. Free in the streets, seating at King's Manor £20 and £25.
Also: Shambles Market 8pm on 22 and 23 June, £10
Among the scenes are expected to be :
The Creation of the World, directed by Janice Barnes-Newton on behalf of the Guild of Building
The Fall of Adam and Eve, directed by Bex Nicholson, with Gild of Freemen and Vale of York Academy
The Building of the Ark and the Flood, directed by Paul Toy, with Cordwainters Guild and York Mystery Plays Supporters Trust
Herod and the Three Kings, directed by Dr Mike Tyler, with St Luke's Church
The Last Supper, directed by Emily Hansen, produced by the Guild of Merchant Taylors with the Lords of Misrule
The Crucifixion and Death of Christ, directed by Jared Moore and Kelvin Goodspeed, with Riding Lights Acting Up and the Company of Butchers
Christ and Mary Magdalene in the Garden, directed by Jess Murray with the Guild of Media Arts and the Guild of Scriveners
The Last Judgement, directed by Alan Heaven for the Company of the Merchant Adventurers of York.
