Description: John White (Adam) and Sheila Barker (Eve). Behind, Robert Rietty - the professional actor who played Lucifer - peeps out cunningly.
John White was interviewed about the Plays and said he was surprised to
be given the role of Adam, as he was a new amateur actor. Below are the
signatures of the two actors, embroidered onto a cloth by another young
actress, Mary Malden, later Mrs Owen. The cloth was donated to the
NCEM archive in 2017, along with another from 1960.
