his site contains many different types of file; most people should be able to simply click and play the majority of them. However, if you are having difficulty running an item found on the site the likeliest reason is that you require some additional software. This page provides links to the manufacturers of software for each file type.
MP3 Files (Audio)
MP3 audio files can be played using several different programs. Either the FREE Windows Media Player or FREE realONEplayer will play MP3 files.
QuickTime Video
A FREE player is available for download from Apple's QuickTime site.
Microsoft Word Documents
The documents on this site (often provided alongside items in the archive) are in Microsoft Word format, primarily because we use Word internally and it is an almost universally recognised format. If the document you are trying to open fails to respond try saving the file to disk by 'right-clicking' on the link and selecting 'save target as' or 'save link as'. On Windows PCs Word files should open with very little loss of quality through the WordPad software built into most versions of Windows. If you sue a Macintosh try opening the file in your usual word processor.
