1975 programme



















In 1971 the 1433 inventory of the properties and costumes of the Mercers' Company came to light.  The Company - who became the Merchant Adventurers of York - funded the performance annually of the Last Judgement play.  Academics discovered that the inventory included:
- vi develles faces in iii vesernes (masks)
- a sirke (shirt) wounded for God
- a grete coster (backcloth) of rede damaske payntid for the bakke syde of the pageant
 - ii peces of rede cloudes and sternes (stars) gold
- a brandreth (grid) of iren that God shall sit upon when he shall fly up to heven
- a long small corde to gerre (make) the aungels runne aboute in heven
