Description: The NCEM has three Programmes of the 1954 Mystery Plays production. Two were donated by Eileen Skaife. They have a cream cover with a reproduced page from the 'Saddillers Play', front and back, printed black on white inside, eight pages. To see a cast list, see YMP/B/2/2, which can be found under Programmes, 1954.
Here is a photo donated by Pam Olsen of nine of the cast in costume - probably at a dress rehearsal. \before cropping there were a small tent and seats visible in the background.
Ticket prices are quoted in a leaflet in Eileen Skaife's scrapbook of the 1954 production. Stand A: 15 shillings, 12 shillings and sixpence, 10 shillings, 7 shillings and sixpence, 5 shillings, 3 shillings and sixpence.
Stand B: 12 shillings and sixpence, 10 shillings, 7 shillings and sixpence, 5 shillings, 3 shillings and sixpence.
(As written: 15/-, 12/6, 10/-, 7/6, 5/-, 3/6) The cheapest ticket at 3/6 is 18 new pence.
