Description:
A 70 page illustrated description of the 1909 pageant in Museum Gardens.  Explains the scenes, has some colour images and a large number of black and white photographs of actors.  Also black and white photographs of the Committee members eg Lord Mayor, Aldermen,  Louis N Parker, Lord Wenlock, Committee Secretaries.  At front and back contains many commercial adverts, eg linens, restaurrants, saddles, furniture.  Quite a high proportion are Harrogate (and some Leeds and Scarborough) companies, not only York.  In text compares London unfavourably with York because so much of London's ancient history has vanished.
